Frankenstein Bolts
Frankenstein Bolts make music that blends dreamy textures, noisy guitars, and melodic indie pop. The band—Justin Cullen, Dan Comerford, Tom Bates, and Brian Fanning—works as a collaborative unit, with each member bringing their own approach to the sound.
What began as Justin’s home recording project led to the debut album Slow Season in 2014, followed by Aglow & Spark in 2017—a more atmospheric and layered record that was named one of the albums of the year by major Irish press and blogs. In 2023, the band released a track each month, culminating in A Heavy Hail Assault, a lo-fi collection recorded mostly at home. They’re now in the studio working on their third full-length album.
Frankenstein Bolts’ live shows are equal parts loud and quiet—always melodic, always immersive.
“Aglow & Spark is a dreamlike record. Crafted to be listened to as one whole piece, rather than fragmented songs or singles, Frankenstein Bolts latest offering is an album in the truest sense of the term”
