Dj, producer and owner of Crossroads Recording Studio in Kilkenny, Ireland. Home to a wall of boutique analog gear and a vinyl cutting lathe. His love for analog sound is very noticeable not only in his music but also in his vinyl only DJ sets. Expect lots of Funk, Soul, Disco, House and everything in between. Swiss has released music on Kingstreet Sounds NYC, Maison Roughe UK and has a release dropping this year on Lumberjack’s In Hell and a debut album with his live band East West Assembly, forthcoming on the iconic Sound Signature run by Theo Parrish.
For the last 15+ years, Shane Tobler has been immersed in the music and culture scene in Ireland. He is a well-known figure in the local community of his native Kilkenny where for 10 years now he has been running Crossroads Recording Studio.
At the studio, based in Ballycallan Kilkenny, Shane presides as the head recording, mixing and mastering engineer. Working with the likes of Kila, Techno prodigy Cailin, local singer/songwriter Ali Comerford and a host of other quality acts. Early in life, Shane developed a big interest in vinyl from the records his father would bring into the house on his return from work in Africa. This led to his passion for DJing and collecting vinyl records in a wide variety of genres. Over the past few years, this passion has grown in the form of “Mission”. Mission is a Collective/Sound System set up by Michael Hammond (aka @clevelandmike) and Shane as a vessel which allows them to not only share their record collection but also to promote high quality music and sound for dancers, encouraging people to come to the club with dancing as the priority.
