Cathy Davey has recently returned after a break from touring to complete a three-gig residency at Whelans on Wexford Street and she will take to Vantastival’s Main Stage on Saturday 5th May.  Cathy is a Meteor Award winner and one of Ireland’s finest musicians. Her third album, The Nameless, was nominated for the Choice Music Prize 2011.

Hailing from Monkstown, Co. Dublin, Cathy Davey has released three albums to date. The Nameless debuted in poll position on the Irish Album Charts, the Independent Release Charts and the iTunes Charts on its first week of release.  It features Villagers’ Conor J. O’Brien on guitar and drums and Neil Hannon on vocals.

The Irish Times say “There’s no better female songwriter in Irish music right now”.
