Firestone Battle of the Bands Finalists
The public have cast their votes in our Firestone competition and we are delighted to announce the five finalists are GRAND, Accidents in the Workplace, Makings, Lowlight Gathering and Nix Moon! Well done to all 12 acts that took part in the online phase of the competition – you will be able to see them all perform in the Firestone Music Station at Vantastival this year.
The Live Final will take place in Odd Mollies, Drogheda, on Thursday 11th May. Doors open at 7.30pm and admission is €4. The five finalists will perform for a judging panel comprising journalist Tony Clayton-Lea, Today FM Head of Sound Gavin Blake, Colm Conyngham from Bridgestone Ireland and Vantastival Director Benny Taaffe, while audience members will also have a chance to vote – all welcome so come and support your favourite act! The overall winner will headline the Firestone Music Station stage at this year’s Vantastival, and will receive a prize including residential recording time at Grouse Lodge Recording Studios and Musicmaker equipment worth a combined total of €4,000. All audience members who vote on the night will be entered into a draw for a pair of weekend camping tickets to Vantastival 2017!
